Timmins has revealed its designated employers for the Rural Community Immigration Pilot (RCIP) and the Francophone Community Immigration Pilot (FCIP).
The RCIP and the FCIP are employer-focused pathways. All foreign nationals need a job offer from a designated employer to be eligible for these PR pathways.

Designated employers are those that have been approved by an economic development organization in the community.
In the case of Timmins, this is the Timmins Economic Development Corporation.
RCIP employers
The following employers have been designed under the RCIP:
- 360 Boring Services Inc.
- Agnico Eagle Mines Limited.
- Anti-Hunger Coalition Timmins.
- Boudreau Automotive Mechanic.
- Dark Enterprise.
- EV Nickel Inc.
- Pepco.
- St Mary’s Gardens GP Inc.
- Timmins and District Hospital.
- Toromont Cat.
- YMCA of Northeastern Ontario.
FCIP employers
Only one employer has been designated for the FCIP: Fermes Sansoucy Ltee.
Eligibility criteria
Apart from having a job-offer from one of the above-mentioned designated employers, the offer must also be for a priority occupation under Timmins’ RCIP or FCIP.

Foreign nationals also need to meet other criteria.
Work experience:
Foreign nationals need to have at least 1 year (1,560 hours) of related work experience in the past three years. They may be exempted from this requirement if they studied and graduated in the community.
“Related work experience” must be:
- At a skill level close to the Training, Education, Experience and Responsibilities (TEER) category of the NOC listed in the job offer;
- Include actions listed in the description of the NOC code; and
- Include most of the main duties.
Language ability
The minimum score needed depends on the NOC TEER of the job offer.
Educational qualifications
Foreign nationals need to have a Canadian educational credential or the foreign equivalent
A Canadian educational credential is a high school diploma or a recognized Canadian post-secondary certificate, diploma or degree from a designated learning institution.
Settlement funds
Workers need to have enough money to support the transition for themselves and their family into the community
The money needed is based on the size of the family.
