Similar to the Canadian Experience Class (CEC), the Quebec Experience Class (PEQ) offers a faster way to immigrate for those who have experience. The PEQ however, can be divided into two categories: One for foreign students and one for individuals with work experience in Quebec.Each require their own process.
This is a two step process. The Applicant first applies for a Certificat de Sélection du Québec, or the Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ). Once this has been obtained, the applicant must submit an application to the Citizenship and Immigration board for approval to be granted Permanent Residence.
Requirements for Foreign Students
Student must have obtained a degree/diploma from an educational institute authorized by the Quebec Ministry of Education within the last 3 years
The student must have studied in Quebec for at least 2 years
The student must show completion of an advanced intermediate level French Course at Quebec educational institute (if the studies were not taken in French)
Requirements for Individuals with Work Experience
The worker must have 12 months of experience in Quebec in a managerial, skilled or professional occupation within the last year of the application
The worker must be employed during the time of his/her application
